This colorful mural was painted as part of a medical missions trip. While volunteer medical staff performed procedures to correct cleft palette, we painted, and painted, and painted...
The entire mural took around 26 man-hours (woman-hours?).
Scroll down to see the process. We started with a bright orange underpainting, and then added plants and animals as we went along. It wasn't overly "planned" and was really much more fun that way!
That's me in the middle, and my artist/nurse daughter, Kate to my right. Maribel Moses (to my left) not only coordinated the clinic, she made a significant contribution to the mural!
